It has been a good visit to Edmonton so far. I have been getting out and seeing friends, catching up,  The weather has been outstanding, hard to believe it is only April. Allison and I went to visit George and Kay yesterday, we had a good visit. Uncle George does not know about the party for him, he thinks it will just be the Carlsons and the Cowans and a quiet supper. Nancy and Dennis are coming, which will be a real surprise for him. Dennis was not going to come, he had planned to come in the summer when Kay's side of the family are having a little reunion. But Marylynn called him and said he should come for the birthday instead since most of his Sivak cousins will be there.

I drove Grace and Dallyn to the airport and will pick them up when they come back. It is too bad they will not be here in time for the Birthday Party for Uncle George.

Cat on Chest

so trying to type around him as I lay on the couch.
It is supposed to get up to 26 today. I am delaying reading the Saturday Globe and Mail until deck is warm enough.
We are going to see Jekyll and Hyde tonight-looking forward to it.
Next weekend, being anniversary, we are going to Sparkling \Hill for 2 nights! It is really chi chi, with these 7 assorted sauna type rooms etc. We will be in bathing suits or robes all weekend, there is European hour, which Geoff would enjoy, but I prefer clothes in public.
And weekend after that we go to Radium-lost to look forward to.
I cannot get over how nice it is to be done school! Amazing!
Am not doing too much today, going to transplant some peonies to yard from Mom's.
Switch over to spring/summer clothes as I think sweaters can be put away.
This really is a nice time of year

Second spring

First spring in BC was really nice. So much lovely blooming. But spring seems to have arrived here at home and it is amazing because it is so unusually warm. Trees are budding out, daffodils blooming. Normally this happens in May and lasts for 48 hours before we either get a snowstorm or summer starts. Thank you, El Niño.

We did have a nice holiday (although you could say our whole life is a holiday). Dick and Jo are doing well, it was good to see them. We enjoyed Harrison Hot Springs. We spent quite a bit of time on the Saturday sitting out by the pools. And the whole visit with Will was good. And of course our time in Kelowna visiting with L and R and Mom.

Sure good to get back to the booboos though. We have not seen so much of Kane because his dad is now working in town and Kane is there quite a bit. He did call me yesterday so we chatted on the phone. When Tim and Courtney go to the UK in May we will get to be together lots. Like all day every day.

Went to Red Deer this week for another CT scan on Geoff's shoulder. We still have no idea of the timeline for this surgery. We are just hoping it's not the fall since we booked a flight to the UK in October. The Red Deer hospital's operating rooms were flooded a few weeks ago and all surgery there has been delayed so it may even be next year. But then why the scan? Don't like being in the dark.

I am making good progress on clearing out the sewing room. Not the sewing room any more, but my room where I can have my own space all to myself.

I am tempted to plant some of the garden. I guess if it suddenly got cold again I could just replant.
