We are slowly getting used to being alone again, but it still feels odd.
Had one of those phone calls you don't want to get last week - Will on his way back to Vancouver got rear-ended by an old lady going way too fast in a construction zone. He was able to drive the truck to Vancouver but we are suspecting that it will be a write-off. Too bad, everyone liked that truck. I guess that's one way to get our vehicle count down. Although Geoff keeps buying new ones.
It feels like summer again here. We have again been eating outside. And it is supposed to stay like this for at least another week.
We spent some time at Tim's last week getting his living room ready for painting. We washed the ceiling - it was disgusting. It is now primed and Tim's friend who is a drywaller is going to spray the ceiling so it will look much better. Tim has to decide on his colours then we can help him paint. I am sure wishing he would get that hardwood refinished but he is adamant about carpet for now. He's got to go to Airdrie for a couple of days' work even though he is still not feeling well.
Geoff has been working on the basement fix-up. We are putting potlights and track lights in the living room so he is figuring out and installing the wiring. I think it will look really good, but renovating is so slow. Really can't do much during the week, by the time he gets home and we eat it's 7:30, and he just doesn't feel like working. But bit by bit it is getting done.
In two months we will be in Scotland!

I am hoping that because you did not say and the fact that he was able to keep on driving, Will is OK.
I am glad that Will is ok. Even though the truck is not.
What's up with Tim? Why is he ill?
He's had stomach problems & diarrhea for the past couple of months. He finally went to the doctor and had tests but they couldn't come up with anything. So now he is waiting for a colonoscopy. He can't eat much, has to be by a bathroom all the time. Gets tired easily.
I wonder if he has IBS? Does he have high stress at work? Is that contributing?
Did they test for Celiac Disease?-- his risk is higher having a relative with it. Unfortunately the blood test is inconclusive if a person has been avoiding gluten. Diarhea, stomach pain, bloating, gas and many more symptoms. because it is small intestine the test is gastroscopy not colonoscopy. try canadian celiac assoc. web site. they have good list of symptoms etc. ba
I was wondering that too. Poor guy, intestinal issues are awful.

He has had test after test. About the only thing he has been eating is bread.
just thought I responded to Als cat problem, and did not even mention poor Tims illness - but did send him a note & card by snail mail last week - so I have been thinking of him a lot, but did not realize he was so sick. Do hope they track this down soon so he can get treatment
Also am glad that Will was not hurt - do you have his address or is it the same as last year?

Tim I hope they figure out what is going on quickly.
Ask for sedation for colonoscopy-much better not to remember.
I guess he'll have to go to Red Deer for the scope?
