I've been laying low lately owing to my new obsession with the show "Lost". Tim loaned me the first two seasons, and all I've been doing is watching them. It's a great show though, and awesome on DVD, since it moves really slowly, so this way you can watch three or four episodes in a row, and don't have to wait.

I'm posting (I hope ) some pictures of Allison's housewarming- belated, I know, but see above comments on how I've been spending my evenings. The housewarming was really fun, as was lunch the next day at Judes. I got to meet Kirsten, Al and Jude's friend, who turned out to know one of the retired priests at the Cathedral in Victoria. Small world!

Those floors are just georgeous - she said they'd turned out good, but didn't imagine them like that.
It was good to see the pics Will.
My birthday was good - thanks to all - had lots of greetings on facebook as well as phone calls, flowers, gifts and dinner! I just feel so lucky in my family and want you all to know I appreciate you!
My clothes dryer packed it in (after only 30 yrs) so Richard took me shopping today and I found one that didn't cost an arm and a leg n be big enough to do laundry for a hotel. R and L are picking it up on Fri - that truck is coming in haNDY.
Got a gift sent from Eddie Bauer in the US but it didn't say who sent it - any of you know anything about it?

That would be me. That was fast, I only ordered it on the weekend. Did you open it? It's for the trip.

If your dryer packed it in, I wonder if mine will be far behind. They're the same age. We had to replace the washer 12 or so years ago, but the dryer has been good. Probably from hanging as much as I can on the line.

Yess I opened it and I love it - thank you so much - its light as a feather and just such a good size, in a lovely color, a dark winey red. Am getting pretty excited about the trip - just over 2 months, can you believe it? Have been doing some reading & research on Wales and it sounds delightful but so much to do and so little time - good thing every place is so close together. It sounds like Anne can squeeze us all in or am I wrong? If so we can find somewhere close to bunk. Can hardly wait to see her too.
Thanks. again

Great pictures! Kirsten really enjoyed the Morocco story at Jude's lunch the next day.

I think it's funny that my facebook invitation said people should come to the party "because you're tired of family at xmas" and really, my primary guests were my family.

Not just you, Mom: my shirts have been hung up for years!

I have a really really tiny place. So you're all welcome to attempt to squeeze in if you want, but I'm not sure how many I can realistically host. If I sleep in the attic there'd be a double bed and a single bed free, though.... and I guess floor space in the living room!

I am even more excited than you about getting company. Really cannot wait. So happy you all decided to come visit!

Then we can all fit!
Sort of.
I've slept on floors before.
Or am I being terribly presumptuous?
