Grace is home and told me about Jude's horrible week, poor Judith. We're supposed to go to our office party tonight but Geoff is working late. So I will go by myself and he will join us.
Well ended a lot better than it started out. Felt crummy all weekend, and stayed home on Monday. so did not get anything done around the house in terms of decorating for Christmas. Tuesday was OK, but on Wednesday I got up and the house felt very cool, went out to check the furnace to see if I need to relight the pilot, and the whole furnace was encased in ice. I thought I cannot deal with this without coffee went to make a pot, turned on the cold water and nothing. Tried the hot water and there was some. So I got ready for work, and called the resident managers, there had been some kind of a leak in the building, it ran through their furnace, so they had no heat either, and the parkade was a lake. They were up till 3:30 in the morning, and could not find the leak, so they had to turn off the main water. so I went off to work and when I came home I very cautiously opened my door, and felt warmth, then I went to sink and there was water, so it was all good.
Thursday we had a potluck at work, which was delicious. Thursday night Grace and Anne came over to help decorate the tree, but that did not happen, cause I had no energy. but after a good visit, Allison also came over and then treated us to a Thai dinner. On Friday we had pizza for lunch, with another group from work and got to see a lot of people that I don't see very often, as most of them work from home.
I'm sure all the blog readers spent a restless night wondering how my party was. You may rest now; it was good as usual. Jude, Geoff and Will are working furiously downstairs to get your place ready for you. And I will be fuiously cleaning upstairs to get Anne's room ready for her.
