learning plan
I should be working on that for my mental health course, but instead here I am updating.
I just finished 3 days, which on the whole were pretty great days at work. I planned a picnic in the park on Sunday, and 10 patients, me and another nurse, and 1 undergraduate nurse all went there.
It was fun, we played bocce, ate watermelon and cookies.
The rest of the days were good, except at shift change when things rapidly went downhill, resulting in me having to stay an extra 30 minutes due to a Code White. Sigh.
But we saw Fred and Christine, and Raeann that day on the way back from the reunion and we saw Fred and Christine on the way to the reunion.
As always, we enjoyed their company! They make me laugh a lot.
reunion sounds like it was lots of fun, I wish we could have gone.
It is hot here, supposed to get up again to 32 degrees today. The cats just lay around the house with their fur coats on trying to keep cool.
Did you know that they were originally desert creatures?

well - home from the reunion and had a really good time - great to see people I hadn't seen for up to 60 yrs or more. Also to get together with the brothers and their families. The log cabin was 3000 sq ft on 3 floors and is for sale for about 1 mil - really very nice and Rhonda is a great hostess.
Some of our group did other exciting things also - like zip lining and ww rafting ( not me tho")
there were 70-75 folks there so it was a nice size altho they had expected more. we all got in lots of visiting and the food was awesome.
The bad news was that Stan had the results of an mri and there are 5 spots of cancer on his liver. He was in good spirits tho and enjoyed the weekend and says he's in no pain. He sees the liver specialist tomorrow and will learn his options at that time. I knew before, but he didn't want anyone else to know till the end of the weekend.
Anyway I'm exhausted, so bye for now
What is a code white?
Oh, Mom -- I'm sorry to hear this. This has been a hard year for the Robinses. I knock wood and say that I am glad you are very healthy.
Code White= violent person.
just talked to Stan - his appt was cxcled when he was away & he's waiting for it to be rescheduled - in the meantime he talked to a friend who is a survivor and is feeling optimistic - wish I could say the same
