spring, where art thou?
Geoff went back to work today. I was worried about him all day but I guess it wasn't necessary because he had a good day. People were glad to see him back and there a few good changes out there. He is feeling positive. Plus his foreman told him that he can drive to work now since his truck chip showed that he was travelling well under the speed limit when the deer ran into him in December.
We got a new toilet! Exciting. It is dual flush but the best thing about it is the seat. When you close it there is no slam, it just slowly and gently closes all by itself. Also, Geoff ordered the windows. We are replacing all the ones from the original house, upstairs and down.
Tim is getting close to finishing his downstairs bathroom. He also bought new outside doors. One is installed and looks really good. It really changes the look of the house.
We had an April Fool's joke played on us - we had a big storm last night and woke up to inches of snow. Ha ha Mother Nature, that's enough. We need some spring.

I'm glad you had such a good first day back, Geoff. Maybe they realized what they were really missing while you were gone.
I'm glad they're going to let Dad drive again. Nice to see that they are slowly notching down the ridiculous. It snowed here a bit this morning, although it didn't stick, everyone was horrified.
Woke up to a white world this AM. Will it never end - its just a few days of spring and back to winter - its still snowing but not much and starting to melt.
Sounds like work is going to be ok Geoff - if they keep it up - being rational I mean.
New windows will make a big difference in your house , as much as Tims new doors
I'm confused, did Dad unquit?
He was on medical leave since January. But before he went on leave he rescinded his retirement because of the stock markets. So now he's back until he retires again.
Doesn't he owe everyone a trip to Mexico now?
Yes, snow this morning. Apparently it's supposed to get up to 18 this weekend.
We'll see.
ON a positive note, at Jones I picked some daffodils and they are now blooming on our table.
The Mexico agreement was clearly a trip to Mexico if I DIDN'T retire before June 30, 2010.
I am safe for now.
I thought it was if you didn't retire in 2009. Where did the June 30 come from??
It was definitely the end of 2009. Dad's just trying to wriggle out of the bet!
I wrote down the terms of the wager as well as everyone's prediction of his retirement date. It is in a safe place but I can't look until he is out of the house. Then will post. Perhaps you should all check to see if your bathing suits are in good shape just in case.
I also have the promise on video, so if Theresa does not find the piece of paper, I have the video evidence.
Found the paper with everyone's dates on it but I didn't write down the terms. Thank goodness for Jude's video because Geoff is trying to weasel out of his end of the deal. He says he said the end of 2010.
