May, the sweetest month

Ah May, the month of my birthday, Mother's Day and my anniversary. Sadly, one great day is down, but Mother's Day was good. Breakfast in bed, flowers, the kids made lunch and Geoff made supper and Tim came over. We picked some daffodils from Tim's yard and walked out to the graveyard to put them on Daphne and Aubrey's grave in the afternoon (after my nap).
Very very little new here. We have had more snow in the last two weeks than we had for most of the winter. The only good part was that Geoff fertilized the lawn before the first snow so it is emerging nice and green as it melts.
Sam has started his job, wasn't too keen on it the first bit, but said he did some actual work today, so that's good. Geoff keeps saying that's life in a gas plant, not really all that busy.
Just got back from Grace's rugby game. They finally got a try (a goal), the first one all year. The weather has been playing havoc with the rugby schedule.
A lot of people are leaving work for different reasons, and it is busy, so the days go by fast. And things take longer when new people are learning them. Must be patient.

Theresa and Geoff - thank you for the flowers - they are just lovely and am enjoying them no end. Also had a pretty good day yesterday - had had a flare up of PMR the other days and had been feeling lousy, but was better on Sun. Altho I just took it easy and Then went to the the Wensinks for dinner. Weather wise it was not very nice- windy and quite cool after quite a bit of rain (which we really needed) but its supposed to get to 30 this week.
We are going to the Greenery tomorrow to load up on plants to get in before the heat wave. It's really spring here - just like overnite the leaves came out on all the trees and lots of stuff is blooming - noticed today the 1st lilacs are out - its been a really weird spring.
Al sent me a copy of the coffee table book she edited and wrote the forewords on - its lovely - an Irish lady did the art work which is very much like the Book of Kells
I'm going to put a sign on it dsaying My baby did this!

Thanks, Mom! Your sign should actually read "My baby was forced by her love of Ernie to do this."

Mom, what does it feel like when you get a flare-up?

Stiffness and a little pain in either (or both) hips and shoulders and somtimes thighs and neck, and a lot of fatigue - its hard to get up and you just do not feel like doing anything, which of couse gives one a guilt trip which doesn't help. most physical activity is difficult. the good thing is that prednisone works fast - within hours i can feel the difference, but the tiredness lasts for a few days. So boo-hoo and poor me! Am pretty much recovered now - a good thing as got dozens of plants and seeds to put in - go mad at the Greenery
Theresa, your BP is going to be a bit late this year - sorry about that - but will be thinking of you on Fri and that Sunday 54 yrs ago when that scraWNY wee thing arrived in my life
