Yes and tired
Yes, that was a superb vacation. Would anyone be interested in doing it again next year?
Have finished my 2-12 hour days and start nights tomorrow. I will be happy to sleep in tomorrow.
Some of my mosquito bites are still itchy, but I think that my burnt areas have changed into tan.
It's a hot tamale today, but not all that bad inside. Especially at the hospital where there is air conditioning.
Have the rest of you recovered?

It was the best vacation, and a great group of people to go with. I would love to go again, but would really like to have more than the 3 days, to have a chance to do some of the hikes, and stuff. Do you think Howie would give us deal, since we are the "nice" family?
We got home around 3:30, there was construction on the Whitemud Bridge, so things were down to less than a crawl, by the time we got to the bridge ther was only two lanes open and one of them was a turning lane only. Also contruction on 39, so that slowed us a bit too.
My house is still in a shambles, had a call from the insurance guyn while I was away, so just waiting for himn to call me back. I ddi move back into my bedroom, but other than make the bed did not do anything else, thought there was not much point until the stuff gets fixed.
It's cold here, 14°. Now that we have returned the rains can resume.
I'm with Jude, a longer time would be good, especially after that long drive. If you had a day or two to unwind you would be ready for a bit of adventure. But what we had was great!
Jude, is everything dry?
If we went value season, which is June 15-July 5 and August 24-Sept. 6th, for a week it would be $3670. Or $2515 for a midweek, 4 days again.
Everything is dry, but the storage closet smells musty, they did not remove the underlay from there, so that is probably why. I am going to take this opportunity to do some more purging of stuff, maybe by the time I get done with the insurance stuff, I won't have anything left to put away.
WE could also do the value season at the other end, right? at the end of June?
Did anyone get home with the power adaptor (AC to DC) for the electric cooler. I looked for it on the boat, but thought I must have tucked it away in my (or Theresa's) bag. I tore everything apart, but it is still missing. It has a ac cord and the DC end is a flat plug.
Hope someone picked it up !
The trip was great. I imagine if we book early we could get in on the cheap rates for the last week of the shoulder season-or maybe that would be the week Tim and friends occupy the whole fleet.
Would it be warm enough the week before that ?
From Geoff via Theresa
June is good timing for most, but I do think the lake would be cold. Later September, is that a possibility? I'd for sure do this again; I had an amazing time. I have had many comments from people about the karaoke photos Anne posted on facebook.
Next year June wouldn't work for us. There will be a Gr. 12 student who will be getting ready for diploma exams and grad.
September, Richard is in school, but the same time as this year, or end of August would be fine.
geoff - I saw Theresa pick what I think is an adaptor off the coffee table, wondering if it belonged to the boat, then saying oh it's ours after everthing else was packed up - think she put it in her purse
If we went the last week in August, that is the week leading into the Sept long weekend, that would give people who are going to school time to get ready and still go on the boat. Doesn't secondary school usually start a few days after Sept long weekend? that way I think it is still value season.
I have no idea where I'll be, but would definitely like to do it again if possible!!
