europe

Well for my first post, i decided to wait until some big news came along. As luck would have it, two news events have cropped up in the same week! The first is that the mortgage on Grandma's house came through, so pretty much all that's left is sighning papers. The second big event is that I have booked tickets to Europe. I leave for Frankfurt on the eighteenth of October, and return on the First of November. Not nearly long enough too see everything that I want to, but hopefully long enough to see some of Germany, France, Italy, possibly Switzerland, and Will.
Well, I think that pretty much concluse my first Blog post ever. yay.

The funny thing about this is that one of Tim's travelling companions is the woman who was Anne's Brown Owl in brownies. We saw her a few weeks ago and she asked what Tim was like, since she doesn't know him and was going to be travelling with him. She is the mom of one of the other travellers.

When travelling with other people, particularly ones one doesn't know well, remember that you can split up - at least during the day. It sometimes helps to maintain the peace if you spend several hours during the day wandering around to different sights. 24/7 with anyone can be grating. Bringing it down to 16/7 can be surprisingly helpful.

Tim, how many people under the age of 25 can say that their grandmother blogged before they did?! Gee whiz, you kids.

Your trip sounds wonderful -- so exciting! You are going to drink such good beer. And eat well (at least in Italy, and *maybe* France).

Judith is going to get a Flickr account, so she can post her pictures from travelling online. I suggest it for you too!

Tim, if at age 21 you own your own home complete w/mtge and can still go on an Europen holiday, you are indeed an adult. Have fun.

Will the Czech food sounds kind of heavy' but they say the beer is the best. When do you leave Prague?
