Respite care

We were surprised last week when Courtney's brother Linden called to see if the boys could visit him and Emily for the weekend. The booboos were very excited as they love Uncle Linden and Auntie Em. I am sure they will get a lot more running around than with Baba and Grandpa, although Grandpa does pretty well. I am more for quiet games and reading.

Things are going well. We told ourselves ahead of time that the kids would take up all our time so we felt somewhat prepared. We skyped once with Tim and Courtney and have had a couple of phone calls so they don't forget mom and dad. Kane was pretty sad talking to Courtney yesterday but felt better after he cried himself to sleep on Baba and had a little nap. He has been going to his dad's some of the time, so I guess that part of his life is normal.

So that's all that has been happening here. I had a good birthday, with a special birthday presentation in the morning. We went out to the new restaurant in town for our anniversary.

Tim and Courtney get back Monday, I got the feeling on the phone yesterday that they are ready to come home.
