Free at last, free at last

Today was the day Apache finally made job offers. Geoff had told as many people as he could that he did not want to stay; he wanted a package. And was worried that he would get an offer anyway, which would mean making another decision. But it turned out that everyone who wanted a job got an offer and those who did not want to stay would be accommodated too.

There is going to be a goodbye to BP event in Edmonton this weekend which we are going to go to, one last hotel room on BP.

We went out to Grillers to celebrate and ran into some old friends and had a good visit with them.

I am now the main breadwinner. I feel the responsibility on my shoulders.

Does the weight of that responsibility mean you won't be blogging on work time?

Congratulations Geoff, it must be a great relief to have that waiting over.

Theresa if you are the breadwinner, does that mean Geoff becomes the bread maker?

Congratulations! I'm glad you got what you wanted. Theresa- being the
breadwinner isn't so bad.... most of the time! Hope you both enjoy Geoff's retirement. (& maybe breadmaking???)

Am so glad for you, Geoff - you deserve everything you get and to be relieved of the decision making is a real bonus - soo, now you can be the house husband while the main breadwinner slaves. Both of you have a great last fling on BP this weekend
Does this mean we may see you in Nov?

I will also continue as breadmaker. But Geoff will continue as bun maker. Yes, mom, we may make it out in November. I have been a breadwinner for quite a while, just not the main one.
