Done Shrieking
WCB finally approved my claim! So, will get paid for the last month off work and seeing that I have run out of sick time this cheque-good timing. I went so far as to apply for medical EI on-line because I thought how long can I wait?
It is a big relief just to have an answer.
Had my evaluation yesterday-they like me-so that's good. Ahem-frontline leader-ahem.

What is the word on the fires?
Just got up and its very smoky out there - apparently they have evacuated 5000 people already and lots more on alert. all of Glenrosa and across the highway to the lake as it jumped the h'way at Gellatly last night. highways 97 & 97C both closed. Started yesterday at 3 pm with 4 hectares abd has grown to 300 - lots of wind last evening. there is a 2nd fire at Rosevalley - separate - no connection.
No wind this AM, which is good and its abit cooler - yesterday it was 34 but projected for 27 today, with a bit of wind rising about noon, but while it was gusty last night, shud be no gusts today
thats all I know so far. Its going to be something here (at my house) tomorrow - combine the smoke with the dust from road construction (4 lanes of it) behind me!
