Had my class tonight, everyone on the class was cheering for Obama, if there was anyone for Romney, they did not speak up.
During break, everyone was checking to see what was up, and we all got bummed out when early on it looked like Romney was ahead.
But then, what would you expect from masters students in nursing? Naturally we are left wing liberal commies

I went to an American political party! The host's boyfriend was doing political commentary for the local college TV station. The accessory of the night was "I Voted" stickers.
I was torn on who to cheer for. Naturally I like Obama because he's an overall likeable guy, but I can't help but think of all the doctors that will be leaving Canada for the States if "Obamacare" happens. Also I'd like our pipeline to happen because I like money.
Why would doctors leave Canada for the States if Obamacare happens?
Today at youth group the kids were arguing about the election. When the son of the liberal organist told the daughter of the conservative youth group leader "Do you even know what Romeny was going to do to the world?" I told them that there would be no political discussions allowed at youth group.

Yes, why would doctors leave?
I have to say, I don't even really understand how healthcare in USA changes much for people? They still have to get private insurance, right? Can someone explain it to me succinctly?
I think that everyone as to have coverage, there are subsidies available if your job doesn't have benefits and you can't afford premiums. That way the insurance companies can keep making insane profits. This is what I gather anyway.
Indeed. And as the demand for doctors rises, which is forecasted, Canadian doctors will be lured South. Even as they already are but on a larger scale. Potentially
We get all our doctors from South Africa anyway...
We could let our cab drivers' medical degrees go through certification so that they can be doctors again.
