You don't sound at all like an idiot. But they should have expanded on your explanation. Unless we have the pamphlet or can speak to you we don't know what it is you are saying that is different than the other guys. Good for you for working to make a difference. P.S. there was at typo in the article. Where were their proofreaders?
Actually I noticed 2 typos.
Their proof readers are sadly lacking
I agree that they should link to a copy of your pamphlet. Otherwise all they are saying is that you have a message, not what it is.
Good job, though - way to get publicity! Even misspelled publicity.
